Persons with spinal cord injury across India bring quality expertise in every conceivable field. It will be our endeavor to use them as much as possible in the work of The Spinal Foundation.
A brilliant boy in studies, he suffered a low-level spinal cord injury and walks using a single stick for support. Yet his lack of bladder control made him very shy of urine leaks and he discontinued studies. He underwent vocational training in tailoring.
He is today, a busy tailor who also teaches others. He is a silent force in developing a basic database of spinal cord injured and has about 1500 contacts & counting.
As he lives a couple of kilometers from Mary Verghese Trust, the registered office of The Spinal Foundation, he will be responsible for maintenance of all records that are required by law.
Our team of volunteers includes persons with and without SCI. We are blessed and pleased to have the unstinted support of 80-plus volunteers who have chipped in in a variety of ways to get The Spinal Foundation to the starting point. We have featured only a fourth of them in the volunteers page and hope to expand the list in due course. We are grateful for their support.
